Glamorous Birthday & Christmas

December was super busy and

went by way too fast!

First, I had the perfect girly birthday..

Tim decorated this cake for me.

Haha, it was really cute with the

sprinkles, chocloate covered pretzels,

& random candles!

I got my hair did by the

always wonderful Tiffany!

She made me feel like a movie star!

Fergie's "Glamorous" was the

theme song for the day...

Tacky Christmas Bunko with an

"As Seen on TV" Gift exchange

was a blast and those who

dressed up looked

pretty dang awesome!

I have to fight Bradley for

the Snuggie I got though!

Then for Christmas

Santa brought the kids a swing set.

They said it was "The best Christmas

EVER."

They were happy with their

new toys & clothes.

And this was the 1st Christmas

we were able to hang our

stockings by the chimney with care,

so the kids were especially excited.

Budding Artist Marci got the art stand

she desperately wanted!

We spent many hours on the road

visiting both families and

some friends too.

Best of all NO SCHOOL for

Tim or Me!!

The break was much needed, I just wish

it lasted a little longer!

Spring Break, hurry up!

Crazy Texas Weather

Just a couple weeks ago

the kids were playing in the rain...

Today we had Snow falling

all day long!! It wasn't even close to

the amount we got last year in

Port Neches, but it was still

F-U-N

Since it started before it was time

for school....I let them Skip..=)

I don't know why, but snow

seems to make everyone giddy.

I sure felt like a kid again running

around in the snow.

The camera didn't capture the snow

very well, but I got a ton of

videos that show how much

snow was actually falling!

They ran around like crazy all day,

but we had a blast enjoying one of the

best little surprises from above!

The kids even made a Little Snowman

with chocolate chip eyes.

New Moon x's 2

Me and my lil sis Amanda went to the

12am Premier of New Moon.

We had matching shirts that said

"Bite Me, Edward"

The little teens were kinda crazy, but it

wasn't too bad.

And the movie was Awesome!!

Later Friday night I headed to Beaumont

for

"New Moon Bunko"

hosted by the talented Natalie

who went ALL out!!

Everything looked and tasted so good.

After eating at Bunko we all loaded

in the car and headed for the show.

RS today at church was emotional for me. Anyone who knows me knows how shy I am at first, especially in big groups and how I always always keep my emotions shoved way down in there. Well the tears were flowing today and it was even more uncomfortable for me crying openly since I was in a room full of people who don't really know me.

The lesson was about trials and that is a sore subject I guess since I have had a lot of experience on the subject especially since it seem my trials are continuous. Everything seems to be such a struggle for us, Nothing comes easy for us, EVER! In moments of weakness, I think haven't I gone through enough in my short 25 years to fill at least 3 people's lifetime?! Wasn't my childhood enough to endure? But then I think of my poor sweet always happy mother who lost her house in Hurricane Ike and everything she owned and she had a childhood so horrible that there are no words to describe. How can I complain when she never does?

I don't let the bad things that happened to me in my past get me down much, but sometimes, like today, they come bubbling up. Even though it takes me a while to be comfortable enough to share the specifics, I'm trying to learn from my wise friend Cassey, that it helps others to share your tragedies & trials. But I really hate to cry in front of people...I do the ugly cry...I wish I could cry pretty like my friend Brianne, she cries like Demi Moore in "Ghost".

Someone posted this on Facebook recently and I really liked it. I saved it in my nerdy "Quotes File" where I keep a record of all my favorite quotes. That's pretty nerdy huh?--

Busy and Crafty

Thing have been pretty busy since

The Big Move.

We are all slowly adjusting and getting

acclimated to our new lives here.

It's definitely weird not having

our usual social outings with

friends, so I've been finding

other things to fill the empty time.

In between all my school work,

running the kids around,

and doing stuff for the kid's school,

I have been feeling very crafty!

I've been making a lot of

flower clips

for Marci's hair.

Made a Witch Hat & pouffy skirt

for our Witch Bunko

Made a Poodle Skirt for the

Sock Hop at school.

I also had to make a basket for

the Silent Auction at the

Sock Hop. A huge

Shrink Wrap debacle ensued in

the making of the basket. But

I finally found success and wish

I would have taken a picture

of the dang thing!

Especially after seeing the

other classes' baskets..

mine was one of

the BEST!

Then I made this chick costume for

Marci's "Dictionary Day" at school.

The tutu looks way adorable

in person! Marci got a lot of

compliments on her outfit.

I am still finding little yellow feathers

all over my house though!

I'm having a lot of fun making the bows.

Especially since they are so

much cheaper to make!

Most of the bows cost on average

30 cents

to make, as opposed to the $6-$10

they cost in the boutiques!!

I'm having fun with it and it keeps me

busy and Marci loves them so

I guess I'll continue to do it

until I get bored of it.

A bunch of people told me I should

sell them, but I don't know if I

want the headache

of arranging all of that!
