Spring (Fast) Forward!

I haven't been M.I.A....it just seems that way.
Actually it's the opposite.
I keep saying I'm going to slow down and not
go out and do so much, but I don't
seem to know when to stop!

Bradley had his Raingutter Regatta for
Cubscouts.  And of course we
waited til last minute to make his boat.
I think the paint was mostly dry
when he raced it.

Marci was excited to show me her new skills
during "Jump Rope for Heart" at her school.
Thankfully this year I didn't get whipped in
the face by an overly enthusiastic jumper!

This sweet baby boy turned 5!

He still seems like a little baby.  I can't believe
he'll be going to school in a few months.
He has such a good, sweet personality.  I never
have any trouble with him.  He is constantly
giving hugs & kisses.  He loves to be
with his brother and sister.  He loves
anything having to do with cars and balls.
He started his 2nd year of
T-ball a few weeks ago.
I know he'll be a really good big brother.
I'm so lucky to get to be his Mom.

Maddox with 2 of his favorite ladies.

6 Months
I'm now in the last trimester and feeling the
urge to get things ready.  I washed the little
bit of the old baby clothes I had saved from
Bradley & Maddox.  I must have really
thought I'd have a girl next because
I had mostly saved Marci's stuff.
I figure I can just dress this Baby Boy like
one of those Beiber/Emo boys who
wear pink & purple, Haha.
Looking at all the teeny tiny clothes is
making me get really excited for the
baby to finally get here!
All I want is for him to come out
healthy and happy. That's all I need.

This time around I have a totally different
perspective.  I don't care the slightest about
getting the cute nursery bedding.  I know
that I can totally do without a lot of the baby
gadgets.  All the bouncers and swingy vibrating
things - that stuff is nice, but I don't "need" them.
And really that goes for everything in our lives.
Having to choose between:
"want", "would be convenient or easier" and "NEED"
It's been a real learning experience for us
with Tim's school and having to stretch a pathetic
student's budget to fit 5 (soon to be 6) people
instead of just 1.  Student loans just
aren't what they used to be!
I will be more than overjoyed when
this chapter is over, but for now I'm trying
to learn as much as I can from it.
The "wants" don't really make you
happy anyway.
Fortunately I learned a couple hurricanes ago,
that all I really need are my family and friends.
And I really do have the BEST of the best.
I'm a lucky girl!

within. And peace to be real

outside circumstances.- Gandhi
