Busy and Crafty

Thing have been pretty busy since
The Big Move.
We are all slowly adjusting and getting
acclimated to our new lives here.
It's definitely weird not having
our usual social outings with
friends, so I've been finding
other things to fill the empty time.
In between all my school work,
running the kids around,
and doing stuff for the kid's school,
I have been feeling very crafty!

I've been making a lot of
flower clips
for Marci's hair.

Made a Witch Hat & pouffy skirt
for our Witch Bunko

Made a Poodle Skirt for the
Sock Hop at school.
I also had to make a basket for
the Silent Auction at the
Sock Hop. A huge
Shrink Wrap debacle ensued in
the making of the basket. But
I finally found success and wish
I would have taken a picture
of the dang thing!
Especially after seeing the
other classes' baskets..
mine was one of
the BEST!

Then I made this chick costume for
Marci's "Dictionary Day" at school.
The tutu looks way adorable
in person! Marci got a lot of
compliments on her outfit.
I am still finding little yellow feathers
all over my house though!

An up-close look at my hat.
I think it definitely suits my personality!

The bow I made for
Marci's chick costume

I'm having a lot of fun making the bows.
Especially since they are so
much cheaper to make!
Most of the bows cost on average
30 cents
to make, as opposed to the $6-$10
they cost in the boutiques!!

I'm having fun with it and it keeps me
busy and Marci loves them so
I guess I'll continue to do it
until I get bored of it.
A bunch of people told me I should
sell them, but I don't know if I
want the headache
of arranging all of that!

Tim's White Coat Ceremony

Saturday was Tim's White Coat Ceremony.
I'm so proud of him and
everything he's accomplished!
And so glad school is finally starting,
so we can hurry up and be done with it!

Outside the school with his Mom

Me and my good looking husband

Tim and his parents

He cleans up nicely, I think!

Marci Is 6!

It's almost May and I realized I have
yet to recognize Marci turning 6,
which happened April 8th!
Marci being my only daughter is really
special to me.  My Mom says she
acts just like I did, so of course
I must say "Sorry Mom!"
Marci is smart, funny, sweet, and NEVER
stops talking or eating!  She has such an
excitement about life and everything it
has to offer.

She loves to be silly.  She makes faces,
dances around crazy, and plays dress-up.
She has a ton of spunk!

She loves to have girl time with just us.

She likes to fix my hair and have me
paint her nails and do her make-up.  She loves
to just snuggle with me on the couch.

She loves to have her picture taken
and take pictures of others.  She
was especially excited to get a DSi
for her Birthday, which has a
camera on it!

Marci is very lovable and cares a
lot about others.  When Maddox
broke his leg, she was the one
crying.  She is constantly worried
about her friend in dance class
with cancer and always prays for
everyone who is sick.

I can't believe she has been here for
6 years already, but I've loved every minute!

Break a Leg!

Maddox was jumping on the trampoline
with Tim & the other kids while I was
at Bunko.  I got the dreaded
"meet me at the ER" phone
call from Tim just 15 minutes into our
"Tacky" themed Bunko Party.  I had to
quickly undo my costume hair/make-up
(which took me an hour to do
and rush to the ER. Unfortunately
I was unable to remove my 99 cent
gold metallic glue-on nails.
So imagine the weird looks I received
with my still lingering cheap makeup,
teased hair-do, and ghetto nails..yeah it
was nice!  But hey, at least I won
the contest!  7hrs in the ER, a trip to the
orthopedic surgeon,and $1,500 later
and Maddox is all fixed up.
He had 2 breaks near the top of
his Tibia and has to wear the
full leg cast for a month, but it
could have been worse!

I think this means
"Down with trampolines!"

I don't think he minds being pulled
around in the wagon.
He sure is cute when he
scoots around though!

I try to keep him occupied as best as I can.
He's used to running around all the time,
so this is a big change for him.
And I'm having to get used to having a
big fat 3yr old newborn to tote around!
