Happy Birthday Maddox!

My baby is 3 now!
Maddox is such a sweet little boy.
He always says, "Mommy, I wuv you."
 and "I need a kiss."

He always has a big smile on his face.
Frowns don't last very long.

He has a great laugh.

Maddox loves to be silly and make faces.
He makes me laugh all the time.

He would spend all day in
the bath if I let him.

He's loves to play with balls and cars.

Maddox loves being with
 his brother and sister.
He never complains when Marci dresses
him up like the sister she's always wanted.
Maddox is so sweet when he's sleeping
and he loves to cuddle.

Yoga

For my PEGA credit this semester I'm taking Yoga.  I've taken other Yoga classes before, but all I did was just follow the teacher.  This one is really cool because I'm actually learning the theory behind it, which moves are good for what, and why we do certain moves.  I'm totally obsessed now!  What's really cool though is that Yoga isn't just doing positions, deep breathing, and meditating like everyone thinks.  It really covers every aspect of your life.  Yoga has what they call "The Eight Limbs of Yoga".  Here's the first two limbs-

The first limb is Yamas- it's your attitude towards others & the world around you.  There are 5 Yamas:
Ahimsa (non-violence in thought and deed)
Satya (truthfulness in our life)  It says that if the truth could hurt others, you should stay silent.
 Asteya (non-stealing)
Bramacharya (non-lust and faithfulness)
Aparigraha (non-possessiveness)  Don't be greedy

The second limb is Niyamas- it's how you treat yourself.
There are 5 Niyamas:
Sauca (cleanliness inside and out)
Santosha (contentment in what you have & who you are)
Tapas (discipline)  Taking care of your body and what you put in it
Svadhyaya (study of sacred texts & of one's self)
Isvarapranidhama (connection to the Divine)

Anyways I just wanted to share my two favorite limbs.  I was really surprised to learn about this in an exercise class, as I'm sure most of you are as well!

Annual Girl's Christmas Party!

It was our Annual Girl's Christmas Party on the 5th.
We were at Mandy's house and it was a lot of fun!
We definitely had a full house that night.
We played a bunch of fun games, shopped for
jewelry, and had very interesting conversations
as usual!  And the food was soooo good!

Me, Cassey, Mandy, & Brianne

Allison was going all out for the games!

My lil sis, Manda and my BFF Mandy

Mandy and I were on picture duty

Allison, Sarah, Shelly, & Me

We played the ever popular "Purse Game" & I won!
And again I insist it was not rigged!
I'm just good at it!

Say Cheese!

Those Glynn girls at it again!

And yet another fight during the
"Open the present with Oven Mitts Game"
which Yes, I won that too! HA!
Nicole, Allison, Natalie, & Angela
We had a Chinese gift exchange where
you fight over the presents...
and I found out who my real ally is...
Thank you Angela!
My present is hanging beautifully on my wall!
Sorry Melanie ;(  I play hard ball!

Angela, Sarah, Melanie, & Brianne
(and my lil Ehryse)

Again with the fighting!
Everyone got in on the Arm wrestling...

I think Cassey won!  Look at those guns!
I think she gets her practice whooping up on Jacob!

Cassey looks awfully cozy with Brianne here...
haha.. That was a really fun night!
Merry Christmas to all my awesome friends!

No, your eyes are not deceiving you...

That IS snow...in Southeast Texas!!!!!  I can't believe it!
I woke up at 6:30 this morning to see our yard covered
in about 5 inches of snow!!!  So I woke the kids up right
away and they got dressed in 3.65 seconds!  We played
in the snow all morning, until I had to leave for school.
They had so much fun...they were running around
like crazy. When I got to Lamar, everybody was smiling
and acting like little kids today.  Everyone was making
snowmen and having snowball fights.  It was SO hard
to sit in class when there was snow outside!  Our Lab
teacher finally just gave up and let us go.  Bradley was
so disappointed after school, when he saw that the
snow had melted.
Oh well, it was exciting while it lasted!
