4th of July

We went to Woodville for the 4th of July

Grandpa & I took the kids to Lake Tejas

Maddox loved going down the slides

The kids enjoyed having Grandpa throw them

Grandpa buried Bradley in the sand

Maddox was a great swimmer.
By the end of the day he didn't even need his
arm floaties and could swim quite well
under water!

Making arrowhead necklaces with Grandpa

Me & Sabrina made freezer jam!
What's more patriotic than that?!
I made Raspberry-Blueberry jam &
Strawberry Jam.

Then we discovered our own Daiquiri recipe..
Strawberry jam leftovers blended with ice and
Sparkling Strawberry water.
Surprisingly, it was awesome!
Who needs Bacardi now?! Not us!

A DECADE Ago...

Bradley was BORN!
Wow!
And it went by so fast!
Bradley is smart and sweet and quiet.
He loves to read and play video games.
He loves to help me in the kitchen.
He has a great sense of humor and
loves to laugh, and isn't ashamed to
giggle like a girl... yet, which I love!
He loves practicing his Jiu Jitsu.
He is always willing to do anything
he is asked to do and rarely complains!

His BFF Mitchell got to come stay a few nights
and eat the always good Patty cake I made!
Yummmmmy

Bradley got a new bike for his B-Day

Had a blast at his Pool Party
with all his cousins and friends

Vacation in H-Town

We went on a mini Houston Vacation over the past week and a half. Getting "City Passes" was totally worth the money! It saved us a LOT! We went to the Zoo, Downtown Aquarium, Children's Museum, NASA, Museum of Natural Science, and the Health Museum. The kids loved everything!

I'd have to say the Children's Museum was the biggest hit. Maddox literally never stopped jumping around and giggling..it was hilarious.

At the Zoo, they had a Dinosaur exhibit with robotic dinos that made realistic sounds. Maddox was totally excited about it.....until we got in. Once he heard the sounds and saw them move...he freaked out! It was kinda funny though....we have his reaction on video! He liked the dinosaur bones at the museum MUCH BETTER!

It was a whirlwind trying to squeeze so much into so little time, but we had a great time together.

SInce it so SLOW uploading on Blogger...here's a link to my facebook Album with all the pictures.

Never tried this before but.....Hopefully this link works...copy and paste

Sew what!

I started another crafty project
for the summer.
BUT first I had to teach myself how to
use the sewing machine!
It took FOREVER!
Apparently I suck at sewing...
Eventually I was able to sew a
straight-ish line and quickly
sewed a skirt for Marci while the machine
was still working right!
(User error, I'm sure, but I'm blaming the machine!)
It was pretty easy so I went
ahead and made a
matching one for me!
I didn't have a pattern so I just winged it!
Marci gladly modeled for me...

I also made the Headband
and flower in her hair

The skirt is oh, so comfortable, I think I
will make a short version in Black now!
And BONUS- it will be even cheaper
to make shorter skirts!

To My Fellow Book Nerds...=)

Just wanted to share that my friend has a new Book Blog. It gives really good reviews that cover the things that I want to know about a book before I read it. It's not just a summary of the book like some reviews.

And not only does it give a good general review of the book, but also discusses the amount of bad language, sex, and other adult content that I like be aware of before reading. They also have giveaways and stuff so check it out and be a follower.
